Escape to The Spruce Cutter's Cottage “One of the best-kept secrets in Western Michigan”

Welcome to The Spruce Cutter's Cottage. Nestled on six acres surrounded by Spruce trees you will find a bit of paradise. We are located just minutes from the majestic shores of Lake Michigan, the artisan communities of Saugatuck/Douglas and a short drive from Chicago, South Bend and Detroit.

Guests, of The Spruce Cutter's Cottage will find themselves in an innocent yet magically romantic atmosphere. When guests arrive they experience an eclectic array of furnishings, certain to arouse and intrigue the most discriminating tastes. The interior decor is gracefully appointed with Tiffany lamps, antique furnishings, and prints from James Brandess, an accomplished locale artist.

In the morning guests awaken to the harmonious melodies sung by choirs of Cardinals, Blue Jays, and a host of wildlife. The warmth of the soft heavenly sunrays gently awakens the elegant English style country flower gardens, thus allowing guests to reflect on life's simple pleasures. While indulging in a delicious cup of coffee or glass of fresh orange juice, with the aroma of the hearty breakfast that awaits their pleasure.

Guests receive a full breakfast, for example: freshly made Lemon poppy seed muffins, a medley of fresh fruit with a main entrée of Baked Apple Cinnamon French Toast and sausage, presented on a bouquet of Fiestaware.

Our Rooms

The Tiffany Suite
Features a queen size canopy bed, in room gas fireplace and large Jacuzzi tub, large screen TV with VCR, sitting area and a private bath with a shower. This room is appointed with Tiffany lamps and period artwork.

The Enchantress
Features a queen size sleigh bed, in room gas fireplace and large Jacuzzi tub, TV with VCR, private bath with a shower and a pedestal sink. This room provides an atmosphere of excitement and intimacy perfect for romantic getaways.

The Rose Room
Features a queen size bed, in room gas fireplace, TV with VCR, a private bath adjoining the room with a shower and Jacuzzi tub. This room with its graceful elegance is perfect for intimate romantic getaways.
